The Process

From first contact to ongoing work.

01

First contact

Reach out through the contact form or join the waitlist if I'm currently full. I'll respond within 1–2 business days.

02

Free consultation call

We'll spend about 15–20 minutes on the phone. No pressure, no commitment. You can ask me anything, and I'll ask a few questions to get a sense of what you're carrying and what you're hoping for.

03

First session

If we both feel like it's a good fit, we'll schedule a full intake session. This is where we slow down and go deeper — your history, your goals, what's brought you to this point.

04

Ongoing work

Most clients meet weekly, at least to start. Sessions are 53–60 minutes. We'll check in regularly on how things are feeling and adjust as needed. Therapy isn't linear — some weeks feel like breakthroughs, some feel like maintenance. Both matter.

Fit

Who this tends to work well for.

You might be a good fit if…

  • You're ready to do real work, even if you're not sure where to start
  • You want a therapist who will be honest with you, not just validate everything you say
  • You're curious about yourself — what drives you, what holds you back
  • You know your childhood wasn't quite right, even if you can't fully name it yet
  • You're dealing with anxiety, OCD, trauma, or just a persistent sense that something needs to change
  • You're open to exploring your patterns, not just managing your symptoms
  • You're a teen or adult who wants therapy to feel like a real conversation, not a checklist

You might be a better fit elsewhere if…

  • You're in acute crisis and need more support than weekly outpatient therapy can provide
  • You're looking for medication management (I can refer you to someone great for that)
  • You need a therapist who specializes in something outside my training — I'd rather point you in the right direction than be the wrong fit
  • You're not quite ready yet — and that's okay too. The waitlist will be here when you are.

Questions you
might have.

Don't see yours? Reach out — I'm happy to talk.

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, what's been going on, and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to share everything at once — we go at your pace. I'll also answer any questions you have about how I work.
Yes. I enjoy working with preteens and teens who need a supportive space to reflect, problem-solve, and make sense of what they're going through. I approach teens with the same warmth and respect I bring to adult clients — they're navigating genuinely hard stuff.
Group therapy is something I'm actively building toward and genuinely excited about. Groups meet for 90 minutes in a shared space where members can process, learn new skills, and connect with others navigating similar experiences — all at a more accessible price point than individual sessions. If you're interested in being notified when groups become available, mention it in your inquiry or join the waitlist.
NARM stands for NeuroAffective Relational Model. In plain terms, it's a way of understanding how early experiences — especially in relationships — shape who we become: how we think about ourselves, how we handle emotions, and how we connect with others. Rather than focusing on re-processing painful memories directly, NARM helps you reconnect with a more authentic sense of who you are. It's my favorite approach because it's both deeply human and genuinely effective.
Not at all. The Enneagram is one optional tool I offer for clients who are curious about it. It works really well for some people and isn't a fit for others — both are completely fine. We'll use whatever helps you most.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before beginning services as a self-pay client. I'll provide this to you in writing before our first appointment — it includes my session rate and an estimate based on your anticipated frequency of sessions. If you have questions, just ask.
